Privacy-preserving Smart Contracts
Privacy-preserving smart contracts are an ongoing challenge in distributed ledger technologies landscape. In this session, I will highlight the different cryptographic primitives that different DLTs exploit to preserve users' privacy on the chain. I will go through the concepts of homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proofs, and trusted execution environments, and how they are exploited to provide privacy-preserving smart contracts. The main goal of the session is to discover different technical challenges behind blockchains that go beyond the mainstream use case of cryptocurrencies.
