The Journey of a Click

We all know there's a bit of magic behind the scenes when we click a button to navigate to a new page, but how often do we stop to think about the complex series of steps that make it happen? From the moment you click, a lot is going on to ensure a smooth transition.

When you click a button that redirects you to another page, a complex series of steps occurs behind the scenes. These steps include detecting the user input, processing the request through JavaScript, resolving domain names, establishing a connection to the server, sending an HTTP request, receiving the response, and finally rendering the new page in the browser. Each stage involves a series of interactions between your browser, network, and server to provide the seamless experience of navigating the web. This process also includes additional steps like DNS resolution, TLS handshakes (for HTTPS connections), and resource loading for assets such as images and scripts. All of this happens in a matter of milliseconds, making it feel instantaneous to the user.
